Second acts and sneaker offers
As a basketball participant, Chandler’s resume is great. His solid 13-5-2 stats could be relied on for years, mostly for gruff Denver groups that made it to the playoffs twice – along with an incredible all-time hipster crew within the Knuggets. and Knicks players are used collectively as part of the Carmelo Anthony Commerce.
Nonetheless, the indicators are reaching the top of Chandler’s recovery days. He has performed in three groups in the past three years, dropped out of bubble playoffs in the past 12 months, and most recently appeared for the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions – a station in China that is typically a final hurray for knowledgeable participants can. While he stated in interviews that he can afford these 12 months on the desk of NBA groups along with the playoff candidates, he is aiming for retirement in the end.
If any of his current investments are any clue, the accumulation of crypto and NFT can play an essential role, regardless of whether the previous star comes later. Not only does he open a medical marijuana pharmacy, but he becomes a successful NFT collector and works to get caught around the house.
Last month he announced that he had become the proud owner of CryptoPunk and turned his avatar into one of many extremely expensive pixel collections. It was a surreal second for many longtime NFT collectors and a help to those lovers hoping for mainstream acceptance in an unsightly bear market.

Just a few weeks later, in collaboration with the NFT company CryptoKickers, he presented an honest, presumably first “digital shoe deal”. Basketball stars exhibiting in giant shoe stores is nothing new, but CryptoKickers creates distinctive, streetwear-inspired sneakers for digital worlds like Cryptovoxels and The Sandbox – a use case massive fashion and apparel manufacturers have long watched. Right now, Chandler now has one of the best digital “gear” of any NBA contestant in the Metaverse.
At the moment, however, his real passion is Zed Run. Polygon-based collecting horse racing and breeding recreation have attracted significant attention due to the rise in recognition and the incredible sums of money that unusual Genesis horses can herald among collectors and racers alike. For Chandler, it’s the social and academic aspects that appeal to him.
“It’s fun to get to know the house, to get out, to discover the communities and to get entangled. Hell, I can breed digital horses and race and talk shit with pals and meet new pals. It’s just fun in the whole room. And this interaction and commitment typically results in new alternatives and other topics that I simply find entertaining and worthwhile. “
He is supported by some highly effective, largely nameless whales whom he has met through chat rooms and networking. Like many sellers and collectors, he has found that non-public communities are a great technique for finding ‘Alpha’ and he even receives some partial ownership offers on unusual horses – along with a safe horse, take care of a ‘Jake’ The Enterprise Capital – The crew of Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
“I’ve been in some wonderful private group chats with lovely players and they give recommendations and dates. It undoubtedly makes it easier for me to open up and have the audacity to ask the simple / stupid questions that I have to study. That’s why I’m grateful to these guys. You literally hugged me with open arms in this short time. “
It’s a kind of exhilaration that many traders really feel during their first or second bull run – the belief that once you’ve discovered the ropes, there is a far-reaching, exciting, and undoubtedly rewarding frontier to discover:
“I enjoy it, but I also provide financing and build / maintain a property with enormous potential for appreciation while I’m at it.”
Energy and tradition
Chandler isn’t the only basketball star affected in NFTs. A few weeks ago, young players like Josh Hart, Tyrese Haliburton and the reigning rookie of the 12 Months LaMelo Ball collections launched, with LaMelo thriving mostly under the direction of collector Wal Pranksy.

Ball is now a well known shit poster on the Bored Ape Yacht Membership Discord server with lots of messages laughing at memes and talking about digital bonsai.
The NBA / NFT acquisition shouldn’t come as a shock given the success of NBA Prime Shot. Dapper Labs’ product that turns basketball highlights into collectable “moments” was a huge hit, promoting hundreds of highlights, and bringing Dapper to over $ 7.5 million.
Chandler believes this could be the beginning of a development – despite everything, NBA players have a long historical record as stylists and referees of tendencies. And at NFTs there is now a rapidly evolving technological and cultural movement, which in some methods reflects the character of fashionable recreation, driven more and more by absurd athleticism and pace.
“For my part, the NBA has outstripped most leagues all along,” said Chandler. “And it’s fast, continuous movement – especially the way the sport is practiced now. You might not get that anywhere else. Guys are a lot more athletic than they used to be, the ranks of guys are crazy and guys are just so nice these days. So I can see why followers and gamers are drawn to NFTs. It’s fun and exciting and that’s how they make money from it. “
BAYC or Meebits? Which would you also like? And why?

Participation within the room is broad. Chandler notes that in addition to amassing NFTs, many gamers have made angel investments in blockchain companies, along with early video games at Dapper and Coinbase. He believes the NBA will experiment with the know-how itself indefinitely and calls it “a breeze for them”.
Still, these are still the early days of NFTs. He cites the former Brooklyn Nets teammate as “basically a pioneer within the NBA in the case of blockchain” as Dinwiddie’s effort to represent part of his contract put pressure on the league to “step up and focus”.
These pioneering efforts by Dinwiddie were only two years ago, but since then every know-how and introduction seems to have evolved – an indication that NFTs are primarily their push mainstream, says Chandler.
“We’re in the Atari Stadium – just wait until we get the Ps 5.”
