The importance and potential of blockchain technology are recognized around the world. Blockchain technology is used in various fields and industries around the world today. Various government agencies have also started considering using blockchain technology to do their job efficiently. The most recent example of this is that the Russian space agency Roscosmos will use blockchain technology to protect intellectual property.
Blockchain technology is now being used in the space industry as Russian agency Roscosmos will use it to combat intellectual property infringement. This already started when the agency started testing the Waves Enterprise blockchain platform-based Intellectual Property (IP) solution.
This solution is known as IP Guard. Its main purpose is to detect IP violations related to the Roscosmos agency as well as various other organizations.
With the help of blockchain technology, the Russian agency can easily coordinate the intellectual property experts, including accountants, patent specialists and lawyers. In addition, it will be easy for the agency to check and maintain the database of IP data objects.
Commenting on this, Igor Kuzmichev, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Waves Enterprises said:
“The most notable properties of the blockchain are the immutability of the data and the possibility of verification. Centralized registers cannot provide these properties. ”
This newly introduced tool is currently in the beta test phase. The launch date of this tool called IP Guard has not yet been officially announced, but it will most likely be rolled out in the coming months.
The most important thing that needs to be emphasized here is that it is the first such organization, especially in the Republic of Russia, to test such services.
