Manila, Philippines, September 1, 2021 – Southeast Asia-based RFOX Media (a subsidiary of RedFOX Labs $ RFOX) has partnered with Goama to target their collective audience of more than 20 million people in Southeast Asia and to pursue the largely untapped game market in Myanmar.
The deal provides for the productive tournament game platform Goama to develop and provide a casual game for RFOX Media in order to use Play-to-Win as an acquisition driver for the new RFOX Media platform.
RFOX Media acquired MYMEDIA Myanmar, one of the larger media players in Southeast Asia, earlier this year and immediately gave it access to over 13 million followers on its popular content sites. RFOX Media is now on its way to creating a superhighway for media content that can be monetized through both advertising and the creation of NFTs.
Goama is a gaming platform designed for businesses that combines the best of eSports and the best of casual games to create a competitive casual gaming environment where players compete against each other in casual games that appear on live leaderboards are placed to win real prizes. It’s been so popular since its inception, and it’s made available to millions of users on the leading apps in 24 countries and growing.
The two companies are jointly launching a game called “RFOX Run,” which gives participants the chance to win rare and exclusive NFTs based on their tournament performance and leaderboard positions.
Ben Fairbank, CEO and Co-Founder of RedFOX Labs, commented:
“We currently have a gaming division called RFOX Games, but partnering with a non-blockchain gaming platform with such a large daily user base is a wonderful presence for us in a completely different sector.
“The Myanmar market is still so young, with a lot of potential, and through this cooperation we will bring tournament games to the market together with Goama, in which over 80,000 people take part in each gaming tournament.”
“We have been planning this for a long time and finally bringing everything together is a wonderful achievement for us and for RFOX Media. We will soon be looking to partner with Goama in the Philippines and other SEA countries as we pursue our aggressive acquisition and growth campaigns across the region. “
Wayne Kennedy, CPO and Co-Founder of Goama said, “Innovation is at the core of our mission. We are excited to partner with RedFox and offer NFTs as tournament prizes for the first time in Myanmar! This is the first of many innovations that we are planning for our casual eSports platform on leading super apps across Southeast Asia.
“We are proud to have developed RFOX Run, which we know our users will love to play and get to the top of the leaderboard!
Wayne adds: “We look forward to a successful and long partnership with RedFOX and to extending the relationship to our entire presence.”
